Himmavanta (Himmapan Forest) “Himmavanta” is the legendary forest based on “Traibhumi”, or the Three Planes of Existence in Buddhist and Hindu cosmology. The beliefs and concepts of thinking are generated in the book “Traibhumikatha”, the most ancient Buddhist literature written by Maha Dhammaracha I (King Lithai), the king of Sukhothai Kingdom. The book has illustrated Himmavanta as a great mountain and forest, considered as the home of gods, hermit, Siddha, Vidyadhara, together with mythical creatures and plants which are nonexistent on planet earth.
